Action Alert: SB222
The Affordable Insurance and Climate Recovery Act (SB 222) enables disaster victims and insurers to sue the oil companies that lied about the climate risks of their products. By preserving our access to affordable insurance, we can loosen the grip of today’s climate affordability crisis straining families and businesses across California.
Our first big vote for SB 222 is on Tuesday, April 8 with the Senate Judiciary Committee — and we need your help! Committee members need to hear from YOU by 1:00 pm that day!
Here are ways you can help:
- Call or email Judiciary members asking them to Vote Yes on SB 222!
- Post on social media and tag your legislator!
- If you can, join us in person at the State Capitol during the Judiciary Hearing on Tuesday, April 8 at 1:30 pm. Location 1021 O Street, Room 2100, Sacramento, CA.
